Throughout this site, we use many statistics and terms which may be obscure to
some of our newer readers. This is a list of some of the more common ones, with
definitions.
| Term | Explanation |

| OPS | Onbase Plus Slugging: The simplest of the sophisticated measures of offense performance. It factors in the ability to hit for average, the ability to walk, and the ability to get extra-base hits. |
| REM | Ray Miller: A derisive nickname coined to describe the way Ray Miller often appears to be sleeping on the job. |
| Sabermetrics | The objective study of baseball. |
| TOW | The Orioles Warehouse: this site. |
